A gentle daydream of a novel. Best paired with tea or coffee

What if you walked out of your burnt-out life and straight into a little bookshop on a quiet street? That’s the daydream this novel lives in.

Yeongju, the main protagonist, does exactly that, she quits her day job, opens a bookshop in her local street, and somehow it becomes less a business and more a living room where neighbours wander in, sip tea, and slowly knit themselves into a community.

It’s lovely. Almost too lovely. The kind of bookstore fantasy where rent, dust, and bills don’t exist. Very idealistic and dreamlike.

It’s an afternoon read that leaves you with a glow, like sunlight through curtains. Not profound, not life-changing. Just warm, cozy, and kind.

A gentle daydream of a novel. Best paired with tea or coffee.
